    Soya Bean, Beancurd & Yu Tiao (Toa Payoh Lorong 8)

    Beancurd - also known to locals as "Tao Huey"
    Crunchy Yu Tiao (local churrios)

    A typical Singaporean breakfast - a good cup of Kopi-O and crunchy yu tiao

    Silken smooth tao huey and soya bean milk

    Smooth as silk......
    Rise & shine! We headed to Lor 8 Toa Payoh for a good local breakfast fare!
    I had the best yu char kueh and butterfly (known as "Buey huey ji") today - unlike the foodcourt fritters, which were too soggy! Also, the best home made soya bean milk and beancurd (thick with consistency)!
    The best local food can only be found in the old heartlands like Toa Payoh, Ang Mo Kio & Tiong Bahru.......
