Sunday, August 01, 2010 Mooncakes.........an early celebration of Mid Autumn?Hmmmmm, I know its only August......but I can't resist these yummy mid autumn's delight from Peony Jade.......these are the special 4 flavours of Chempedak, Durian, Pomelo & Soursop in Snowskin. I've refrigerated in the freezer and good to keep for 6 months......Ooops, I've eaten the Chempedak mooncake......it was just awesome!   If you love Durians, then this is for you.......it just melts in your mouth..... Soursop Mooncake   Pomelo filling........literally refreshing I enjoyed these delicious and refreshing mooncakes for my desserts.......the 4 flavours are available from Peony Jade, Clarke Quay for $52. Another of their favourite is the Teochew yam paste with ginko nut in puff pastry.......simply heavenly if lightly toasted in oven.......lastly, don't forget your cup of Chinese tea or Green Tea!
